About ePlatform
A ready-made digital library for your whole school.
ePlatform helps primary and secondary schools give students access to eBooks, audiobooks, Decodable Readers and wellbeing resources through a digital library built specifically for education.
Since 2011, we have combined education-focused technology, trusted content and practical school support to make digital reading easier to introduce, manage and grow. Schools can subscribe to professionally curated Shared Collections, purchase additional titles when needed and give students a flexible reading experience through their own branded eLibrary.
Built on Experience. Trusted by Schools.
Supporting Digital Reading Since 2011
ePlatform was created within Wheelers Books, New Zealand’s largest supplier of books to schools and public libraries. Wheelers launched ePlatform in 2011 as a dedicated digital lending system, bringing its publishing experience and understanding of libraries into the digital environment.
Today, thousands of schools around the world use ePlatform to support reading and literacy. Our extensive publisher relationships help connect schools with a broad range of local and international content, while our team provides practical guidance from initial setup through to everyday use.

Designed Around the Needs of Schools
Digital reading in a school is different from reading through a consumer app. Schools need appropriate content, flexible student access, straightforward administration and tools that support a wide range of readers. ePlatform brings these requirements together in one education-focused digital library.
Relevant Content
Shared Collections are professionally curated for primary and secondary schools, with titles selected for different ages, interests and educational needs. Schools can also purchase additional titles or copies for specific curriculum, student or Class Set requirements.
Accessible Reading
Students can choose between eBooks and audiobooks and personalise their reading settings. These options can support reading independence, language development and students with different literacy, attention or accessibility needs.
Simple School Control
Staff can manage users, customise the school’s eLibrary, apply age restrictions, hide individual titles and review borrowing and usage reports through the administration portal. These tools provide clear oversight of student access and engagement.
