World-class publishers proving content.
Schools trust ePlatform globally.
Staff like the grammar options that identify parts of speech. The collection is extensive but we also use the shop to buy requested items that students have added to their wish lists and these are supplied very quickly. The single sign on feature is very welcome and students pick up how to use ePlatform really speedily. From a librarian's point of view, there is no cataloguing, processing or repairing, the books get automatically returned so there are no overdues or lost books. A list of new titles is emailed periodically and the settings can be changed to stop certain age groups accessing material designed for older readers. Accessit works in tandem with ePlatform, so all titles a school has access to are on one catalogue. I thoroughly recommend ePlatform!
This has enabled students who are struggling with print copies of class sets to keep up with the class reading requirements. Even if we can't provide an Audio copy, we have the advantage of the spoken translation option with all of the eBooks. This has opened up access for many students. We added the Wellness Collection last year. Our Guidance Department paid for this. We felt that this was a great way for student to access important material with complete anonymity. Our plan is to approach our International Department and Language Departments to promote the use of bilingual text using the new tools. We are excited to have 150+ languages available without spending time and space trying to develop a collection focussed around this.
There is a good selection of books, it's free and the loan duration is a good length of time. We launched it through the school website to parents and initially trialled it within English lessons but then went to whole year groups when it was introduced with the Literary Canon reading time every day. We have found it is good for EAL students as we can often find translated texts and also for visually impaired students as you can change the font size or use an audible option. We found out about ePlatform through the trust's links with the Blackpool Literacy project and the English trust link Estelle Bellamy. We would recommend it highly to other schools who wish to promote independent reading at secondary level as it merges the world of technology.
The amount of loans on the ebooks and audio books for last month was amazing. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing service. I promoted through emails to students and staff and also by just having power points running in the library showcasing how to use the platform and what they can use it for. In the run up to the holidays I have been putting information on our daily notices also. Anytime a student asks for a book and we do not have it, ePlatform is the first place I look to see if it is available through it. The teachers are also promoting it in class, with students having the option of using ePlatform for silent reading (10 to 15 minutes a day).
The eBook platform is the part of our library services that remains open and available to our students 24/7. That means we can provide quality reading materials during school holiday breaks, lockdowns, or while sick at home. We launched our ePlatform two weeks before the country went into its first lockdown. A lot of communication was done by email notices and flyers to let parents at home know how to access the eBooks. Our students totally engaged with it – and our loans went through the ceiling. Once or twice a year I promote the platform to classes visiting the library. I remind them how to access the platform and show them some of the latest appealing titles. I do this on a large display screen and play snippets of audiobooks so that they can hear the quality and the effects (music and accents etc).
We have been enthusiastic users of the Wheelers ePlatform Digital Library since 2017. In our annual library budget, I make provision for two annual eBook subscriptions and one audiobook subscription, as well as for monthly new releases for our Private Collection. The reason for taking out a second eBook subscription in 2020, was that we were regularly exceeding our 250 loans per month on the Shared Collection…a good problem to have! The second subscription has allowed us to meet the students’ demand for eBook titles without them having to wait until the end of the month when the loan limit resets. This has been warmly welcomed by our students and their teachers.

ePlatform's eBook Shared Collections offer schools a cost-effective way to access a vast and professionally curated digital library. Schools join a consortium, grouped by age range and geographic location, to share access to a much larger collection of eBooks than they could afford individually. This provides students with 24/7 access to a rich library of eBooks from leading international and local publishers and authors.
These collections are dynamic and regularly updated, with new eBooks added every month. This ensures students consistently have access to fresh and engaging reading material, including recent bestsellers and award winners. Furthermore, titles are specifically matched to your school's year levels and curriculum needs, incorporating a significant number of curriculum-aligned eBooks relevant to each region. This makes the collection a valuable resource not only for independent reading but also for classroom learning and curriculum integration across various subject areas and learning outcomes.
The development of these collections is a collaborative effort, combining ePlatform's expert curation with data-driven insights and feedback from member schools. A Fair Use policy is an essential component of this shared model, ensuring that all participating members have equitable access to resources while benefiting from an expansive and affordable digital library. While ePlatform's Shared Collections offer incredible breadth and value, Private Collections provide individual schools with exclusive control and ownership over specific digital titles.
Students and staff can easily access ePlatform's eBooks through various convenient methods. The platform seamlessly integrates with common school systems, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Google Classroom and library management systems such as Softlink Oliver and Accessit Library. This allows for streamlined Single Sign-On (SSO), often via authentication methods like SAML, LDAP, and SIP2, meaning users can log in with their existing school credentials, simplifying access and reducing the need for multiple usernames and passwords.
Beyond system integrations, ePlatform is accessible directly via any web browser on computers and laptops. For a more tailored experience, dedicated ePlatform mobile and tablet apps are available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices. These apps provide a user-friendly interface for Browse, borrowing, and reading eBooks, even offering offline reading capabilities.
Every ePlatform eBook is equipped with features to support students facing various reading challenges, including those with dyslexia or ADHD, and EAL (English as an Additional Language) students. Readers can customize their viewing experience by adjusting font size and selecting from various background colors to reduce visual fatigue and aid focus. The platform specifically offers dyslexia-friendly fonts, designed to improve readability.
Additionally, tools like line focus can help students with ADHD maintain their place in the text. For EAL students and others needing comprehension support, ePlatform provides both written and spoken translation features for words or passages, along with a picture dictionary for visual vocabulary assistance. Furthermore, features such as grammar and sentence structure markup can highlight parts of speech, aiding in understanding complex sentence constructions and improving language comprehension.
ePlatform provides comprehensive reporting dashboards for staff, offering real-time insights into your school's digital library usage. Administrators and teachers can track key metrics such as borrowing trends, popular eBook titles, reading time, and student engagement at the school, class, and individual student levels. These robust analytics help you monitor reading progress, identify areas for support, inform literacy planning, and make data-backed decisions to enhance your digital library's impact.
Setting up your school's ePlatform digital library is designed for quick and easy implementation, often achieved within just one business day after your registration. ePlatform offers a streamlined process with flexible integration options for your existing school systems. Our dedicated support team provides comprehensive assistance, from initial setup guidance and troubleshooting to ongoing technical support. We are committed to ensuring your school gets the most out of its subscription, making the launch and continued management of your digital library as smooth and efficient as possible.
We also provide a range of ready-to-use promotional materials, including posters, digital banners for school websites, social media images, bookmarks, and draft letters to parents and all-staff emails. These resources are designed to help your school effectively launch and promote its new digital library, exciting students and staff about the available collection and encouraging widespread use.
Yes, you can absolutely customise your school's ePlatform portal to reflect your unique identity. ePlatform allows you to personalise the look and feel of your digital library, including options to add your school's logo, colour theme and branding. You can also create custom homepage collections to highlight staff picks, showcase seasonal reads, or feature titles relevant to specific year levels and subjects. This level of customisation helps students feel a stronger connection to their digital library and makes it easier for staff to promote relevant content.

ePlatform's SuperLit Readers phonics program has been meticulously designed to meet curriculum requirements. This alignment means that the program meets specific educational standards, covering all necessary phonics skills and knowledge areas required at each stage of a child's development.

The Decodable Readers Program is included with all eBook and Audiobook shared collection plans, giving schools full access at no extra cost. It’s also available as a standalone product for schools wanting dedicated access.
Learning to read requires structure, not guesswork. In the early years, students benefit most from carefully sequenced texts that align with the phonics skills they’ve been taught in class. Repetition and gradual complexity help solidify the link between letters and sounds.
Decodable books give learners meaningful practice applying that knowledge, supporting accurate decoding, fluent reading, and early comprehension. When students experience success from the start, they gain the confidence needed to keep progressing.
ePlatform's SuperLit Readers program is aligned with the principles of structured literacy and synthetic phonics. It follows a clear scope and sequence across 10 levels, with each level designed to reinforce specific phoneme-grapheme correspondences. The program can be used alongside any phonics-based teaching model, supporting classroom instruction, intervention, or home reading.
The SuperLit Readers program includes hundreds of decodable texts thoughtfully structured to build confidence from first sounds to fluent reading. Each level features both fiction and non-fiction texts to give students a balance of storytelling and knowledge-building. Teachers can assign books, track progress, and customise access, all through ePlatform’s easy-to-use tools.
BookLife’s Levelled Readers provide a flexible complement to decodable books. Instead of following a phonics sequence, they’re levelled by overall reading ability and include rich, engaging content across science, history, health, and more.
These titles are ideal for building vocabulary, fluency, and reading stamina. They help students engage with a broader range of topics and text types, while still supporting literacy goals in early years classrooms.
Many schools use both SuperLit and BookLife to meet the varied needs of their students. While SuperLit provides phonics-aligned structure, BookLife adds choice and thematic breadth, supporting everything from explicit instruction to independent exploration.
Beyond the early years, these programs also support EAL/D learners and older students who benefit from extra reading scaffolds. With non-fiction titles especially popular among secondary students, they’re a smart addition to any literacy toolkit.

The SuperLit Readers phonics program is a thoughtfully structured and comprehensive decodable readers program designed to help beginning readers develop their ability to decode text using a systematic synthetic phonics approach. It includes engaging fiction and non-fiction titles with beautiful imagery and characters, aiming to guide students from their first steps in reading to becoming confident, independent readers. The program provides a complete toolkit for structured literacy in the early years with phonics resources to accompany each title in the series.
The SuperLit Readers program covers 10 structured levels, which are carefully aligned to synthetic phonics. Each level systematically introduces specific phoneme-grapheme correspondences (letter-sound relationships) and reinforces them through multiple texts. This clear scope and sequence ensures that children master fundamental skills before progressing to more challenging concepts.
The SuperLit Readers program is included with any Shared Collection membership (eBooks or Audiobooks) at no additional cost, offering exceptional value to schools. It is also available as a standalone product for schools that may only require the phonics program.
SuperLit Readers includes a full suite of accompanying resources designed to reinforce learning and support teachers. For each book, the program provides pre- and post-reading pages to prepare students and consolidate skills, alongside printable worksheets for quick and effective practice targeting decoding, encoding, and and comprehension. To make practice fun, there are also interactive listening games that reinforce phonics skills with immediate feedback.
Furthermore, every book features voiceover narration and guided read-along where each word is highlighted as it's read aloud, effectively connecting written and spoken language; students can even click on individual words to hear them sounded out phonetically. These resources are designed to make learning simple, effective, and enjoyable, providing teachers with everything needed to reinforce phonics instruction, and the program is also available in print format with access to the same accompanying resources.
